Xpert Opinions is a technical discussion forum for the oil & gas, petrochemical and energy industries. Members of the forum are able to access moderated content, peer reviewed technical articles and post questions on specific engineering matters. Members may also access a community of consultants with deep technical competencies and experience.
Xpert Opinions aims to create a “back-pocket” engineering function accessible to all registered members of the forum. Xpert Opinions is of particular relevance to small and medium sized operators and service companies who may not have ready access to a full complement of technical authorities.
Consultants will typically be subject matter experts in their respective engineering disciplines. They will be members of a professional engineering institute, either at chartered or fellow status. Our intent is to maintain a balanced, yet comprehensive and multi-disciplined community of consultants.
Our Technical Discussion Forum is open for membership. Click here to access the login page to the forum.
The Xpert Opinions Technical Discussion Forum has no restriction on membership. There are no enrollment nor subscription fees. The purpose of the forum is to promote dialogue amongst its members, including guidance and advice on common technical issues, sharing of best practice, experiences and lessons learned, and the ability to seek expertise from the forum when required.
Prospective members initially need to register with the forum. Once complete, members are able to create posts visible to all members of the discussion forum. Members are also able to post threads in a private area of the forum which is only visible to consultants.
Threads and any subsequent posts are moderated in accordance with forum guidelines. Posts are also be categorised by engineering discipline and subject matter such that our data base of previous threads may be easily searched.
